Seven Great Reasons To Use Article Marketing To Get Free Traffic

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009
Ian Middleton asked:

has never been anything like the internet in terms of what it offers and the opportunities you can gain from it. Welcome to the expanding age of e-commerce. The market continues to expand and shows no signs of slowing down either. It is estimated that in excess of five billion dollars changes hands each year via the net. There are so many ways that you too can have a slice of the cake, but nothing is guaranteed so beware. You need a good promotion strategy and one way of doing this for next to no money is article marketing.

What is article marketing? As the name implies, it is a form of informational marketing that uses short articles to promote a product or service. While simple in concept, article marketing can be enormously helpful in promoting a commercial venture. Here are seven of the most common advantages of article marketing:

1. Article marketing is relatively inexpensive. The costs of hiring a writer are far less than it would cost to place a banner advertisement on a website. A professional writer can easily produce a short (500 word) article for under $20. Additionally, the writer can be far more compelling than a stoic banner ad could ever be.

2. Article marketing can help provide credibility towards a product or service. If you read an article on the subject of weight loss that was unique, informative, and thought provoking, would you be more or less inclined to purchase a product promoted in the body of the article. Of course, you would be more likely to purchase. This is because the expertise presented in the article lent a great deal of credibility to the product.

3. You have no control over the number of people who will see your article marketing efforts. It can simply mushroom and go viral. To get your new article to the internet and be seen is quite simple and again free in most cases. You simply register with an article directory and submit your article for distribution. Actually, there are hundreds of article directories on the internet and submitting multiple articles to these various directories opens the doors to untold scores of readers.

4. The articles are forever. Some article directories will inevitably close from time to time, but your articles will still live on. You see, the directory simply “gives birth” to the article and gets it out into the public domain. That means your published articles will remain indexed in the search engines. So, the article you wrote years ago can still draw in potential customers today.

5. Articles can also be used in email marketing campaigns as well. Yes, it is true that most articles are submitted to article directories, but the flexibility of article marketing is quite vast. Often, articles can be used quite effectively in email campaigns. Most people despise spam emails due to their curt nature. Emails that utilize article marketing are more welcome because of their information and entertainment value.

6. Article marketing can also aid in search engine optimization. Adding links to the body of an article that is published on the web will yield “votes” for the website the links point towards. This will increase the site’s ranking in the search engines.

7. Article marketing can easily cross over with website content. If a website lacks relevant content then the search engines will ignore it. Also, a “barren” website does very little for stimulating visitor interest in a product. Adding quality, promotional articles to a website can perform the “double duty” of marketing the site and adding keyword rich content. Consider this two-for-one approach another way article marketing is cost effective.

Naturally, there are more than seven benefits to article marketing but these are a good selection. Anyone who is operating a commercial venture on the internet should make article marketing a prime component of their advertising strategy. The reason for this is that it is among the most effective promotional strategies ever devised.

How to Write Articles for the Internet: The Do’s, The Don’t, The 8 Steps

Thursday, November 5th, 2009
Yolanda asked:

Article marketing is one of several internet marketing strategies you can use to promote yourself and your business. You can also use articles offline, but this article is focusing on article marketing as an online strategy.

The Benefits

There are several benefits of article marketing. Here are just a few:

Effective and low cost (usually free). You build credibility and trust. Articles are a subtle way to engage readers. When they believe you are credible and trustworthy, they are more likely to visit your website. You don’t have to be a “writer.” Write from your experiences as a business owner and share your lessons learned. Simple to do; in-depth technical expertise isn’t necessary.

Do’s & Don’ts

Do provide valuable content for your readers. Teach them something, explain how something works, or challenge their thought process on an issue. Use your imagination when writing your articles. Think of creative ways to convey your message.

Don’t write you article as a blatant sales pitch. This is a sure fire way to turn off potential readers who are looking for valuable information to help them with a problem. Remember, the reason people are searching is because they’re looking for answers, which makes your readers high quality. Don’t abuse their time by selling to them.

Do use your own content. When you write from your own knowledge and experience, your writing will come across a sincere and credible because it’s genuine. You have unique experiences that others will relate to. This will also establish you as an industry expert. After all, you’re the one who has done the research, studied, and experienced what you’re writing. You can also hire someone to write articles for you.

Don’t use pre-written articles that someone has sold or given to who knows how many people. Take what you learn from these articles and incorporate the information you’re your own knowledge base and experience—write your own article.

Do follow the writing guidelines of the article directories you submit you articles to. Some are stricter than others.

Don’t get discouraged if an article directory says there’s a problem with your article. Find out what the problem is, fix it, and resubmit. I have personal experience with this one. I wrote an article in parts, i.e., Part 1, Part 2, etc. One of the article directories didn’t like “parts,” but others were fine with it. I ended up having to combine all the parts into one article to get my article approved for the directory that didn’t like parts.

 8 Steps to Writing Articles

 1. Determine Your Audience. Think about who you are trying to reach. This group of people is your target market. Ask yourself what your audience is looking for. Consider their demographics. What makes them tick? What are their values? Try to get as specific as possible. The better you understand your audience, the better you can reach them with your articles.

2. Pick Your Keyword(s). Selecting a keyword will help you focus your article. Learn the difference between short-tailed keywords and long-tail keywords. Short-tailed keywords tend to be one to three word phrases. Long-tail keywords are longer phrases and target readers who are close to closing on a decision, whether is be to buy something or to opt-in for more information.

3. Select a Topic. Your topic should relate to your chosen keyword. Your article could be a how-to, a review, a problem & solution, a comparison, a personal experience (maybe a problem you’ve overcome), or something you’ve learned that you think your readers will benefit from.

4. Write Your Article. Sit down and start writing. Don’t worry about the article being perfect. Just get your thoughts on paper. As a starting point, jot down your main points (3 is a good number) and write down supporting sentences for your points. Each point with its supporting sentences will be a paragraph. Then write an introduction; try summarizing what your three points are. Then write your conclusion; sum up your points, provide a solution, or give them the bottom line.

Basically, tell your readers what you’re going to tell them, tell them, and then tell them what you told them. Don’t reveal the “answer” until the end of your article. If you give the answer away to soon, the reader won’t stick around for the rest of the article.

5. Title Your Article. Try to use your keyword in the title. At a minimum, use the keyword in the introduction of your article (or as close to the beginning of the article as possible). This will let the reader know that your article is relevant to what they are searching for. Consider a question as the title of your article. People don’t like to leave questions unanswered. There’s actually a chemical reaction that happens in the brain when there’s not an answer.

6. Fill Out Your Resource Box. The resource box is where you tell your readers who you are. This is the only place in your article where you can make a “sales pitch.” Write in the third person, for example, “Jane Doe is an entrepreneur specializing in internet marketing.” Then make an offer and tell your readers where to click (your URL) to get the offer (tell them what to do). The offer could be getting more information about your business, or access to an information product (a free product is always attractive).

7. Clean Up Your Article. After your article is written, edit and clean it up. Use simple language. Trying to impress your readers with big, lofty words is a big turn-off. Read the article to make sure it flows. Try reading your article out loud to hear how the article sounds. Check spelling and grammar. Remember, you don’t have to be an expert writer, just be the expert at what you’re writing about—it’s about the valuable content you’re sharing.

8. Submit Your Article. Submit your article to article directories. There are many directories available. Search article directories on Google. You can also use Alexa.com to get a feel for how popular an article directory is. Most directories will require you to create an account before you submit your article. Most accounts and submissions are free. Keep in mind that many directories will review your article to ensure it meets their guideline before the articles go “live.” Some directories are fast and some are slow.

Conclusion

Hopefully, these do’s and don’ts and steps will help you incorporate article marketing into your overall business marketing strategy.

Happy Business Building,

Yoli

Article Marketing Plan: Steps To Create One?

Thursday, October 15th, 2009
mark fleagle asked:

First Page Google Rankings Are Easy

Article Marketing Key Steps:

Article Marketing is a excellent way to get free Search engine traffic . The key is having a solid article marketing plan. You need to set a goal of writing and submitting at least one article per week to have any impact on your website traffic. You must follow through and stick to your guns and make sure you publish the number articles you have set in your plan for each month.

My article marketing plan calls for to write and submit 1 article per week for my fishing site, now some weeks I write more, but never less than 1 per week. One article may not sound like a lot but you are building links with these articles that will last a lifetime. Also quality and respectability are strong factors when writing articles. If you don’t have a goal to recognized as a expert in your selected “niche” then don’t bother with article marketing.

Article marketing is not a quick hit traffic generator, This process takes time and your website traffic increases will be over time. There are some ways to jump start your efforts by automation but you need to learn the basics before using these tools. But I can guarantee this traffic will be quality targeted traffic. I have been using article marketing for about two years now and my sales have doubled.

Now let’s get to the meat of my article and look at key steps that are needed to make your article marketing efforts successful.

#1 Identify your “niche” market. Do not waste your time starting to write articles until you have completed this step. The more specific you are when you identify what you want to write about the better success you will have.

#2 Create a keyword , keyword phrase list of at least 50 keyword phrases. These words need to be associated with the “niche” market you have chosen. I do not recommend you start out targeting single keywords, select keyword phrases about your niche that are two and three words in length. Concentrate on using keyword phrases that are two and three words in length. The reason I say this is because writing articles that concentrate using just single keywords are very hard to get listed on search engines. It is much easier to get listed with two and three keyword phrases. If you have a low advertising budget, like most of us, I would like to suggest an excellent free keyword phrase generator that is offered by Google adwords. This service is free and you do not need to deposit any money. Type in a single keyword that is associated with your “niche” market. Adwords will generate a list of two and three keyword phrases for you. Make sure you download or copy this list for future use when you are writing your articles.

#3 Start writing articles that use some of the keyword phrases from your list . Start out writing by inserting your two and three word phrases as you go. One thing about keywords or phrases is that you do not want to repeat the same targeted word or phrase more than once every 100 hundred words. Take for example, if I were writing a article about article marketing and targeting the phrase “ Article Automation” and the length of my article was say 700 words, I would need to make sure this key word phrase was not used more than once every 100 words and no more then 7 times total. There are ways to mix your phrases up to get the same ranking without duplicating your phrases; example instead of using “article automation” you could use “automate articles” and not be penalized by the search engines for excessive keywords. Remember concentrate on the quality of your article when inserting keyword phrase. It’s important that you get the attention of the reader.

#4 Create a list of article directories to submit your article too. There are some steps to this that I recommend you use because all article directories are not created equal. You need to build a list of directories that prioritized by their Google rankings. First thing you need to do is go to Google and type in “article directory” in the search box. The results will give you 1000’nds of sites to use in your list development. There are two sites you must put on your list right now and they are ezinearticles.com and searchwarp.com. I use a free Google ranking tool that is simple to use to locate each sites ranking. Type in the following keyword phrase “website ranking tools for Google” at Google’s search box to find a free ranking tool suitable for you, or just e-mail me and I send the link I use. Just a note when developing a list use sites with rankings of 6,5,4,3 first, these sites will get you some traffic over time.

Now your ready to start article marketing! Good Luck In your efforts, Sincerely Mark Fleagle.

How To Use Article Marketing To Promote And Sell Yourself

Sunday, October 11th, 2009
Peter Nisbet asked:

e marketing is without a doubt the most effective traffic generation strategy that ordinary people can use to promote their websites and make money. By ‘ordinary people’ I am referring to those for whom internet marketing is more than a just hobby, but who could not go so far as to refer to themselves as being ‘internet gurus’.

The ‘gurus’ frequently need do little more to make money than to promote each other’s products, since they have already done the hard work of building massive email lists, and optimized these to contain very reliable prospects that are more likely than not going to make a purchase - not every time, but occasionally as products that interest them are promoted.

For others, email lists consist primarily of interested people, but people that are not particularly interested in buying, but that might be persuaded to do so if you can get a good product in front of their eyes before the gurus do. Who would you rather buy from: some unknown peddling a product online, or a well known and highly respected internet marketer such as Joe Vitale or Brad Callen? No contest!

However, by writing articles on your niche, you can use article marketing to promote, not only your website and ultimately your products, but also yourself. If you know how to use article marketing to promote yourself, then you have a massive tool at your disposal that will do you more good online than any amount of promotion of your products could do.

Once your name starts to get known online in your niche, people will begin to respect you as someone that knows the business and the niche, and they will then be more liable to purchase from you. The way that you should go about this is remarkably easy.

Basically you write articles. However, make sure that your articles are written well, and if you are unable to achieve that then employ an article ghost writer to do it for you. Alternatively, and much more profitably, learn how to do it yourself. It is not difficult to learn how to write articles if you have a basic command of English. If English is not your first language then you might have a problem, although that too can be overcome with practice.

A good article consists of several sections, each one of which should be looked upon as a separate entity, and each optimized to the best of your ability, both with respect to search engine optimization and ’stickiness’ on behalf of the reader. What that means is that you want the reader to stay with it, and continue to read from one section to the next.

Although no section of an article can be regarded as more important than any other, there is the argument that each is more important than the next, because people will not read further once their attention or interest has been lost. Writing articles is an art, even without the content, vocabulary and grammar being considered. The structure of an article is a skill in itself, and if you can master the structural aspect of article writing, then the rest is so much easier.

If you are to use article marketing to promote yourself, it should be as both an author and somebody that projects themself as being an expert in his or her field or niche. To achieve that form of respect, you must consider each of the following aspects of your article writing:

The Title - The title should make the subject clear, and should also contain the primary keyword at the beginning. A keyword can be one word or a phrase, although it is best to be restricted to a maximum of three words. Hence, ‘article marketing tips’ is a good keyword, but ‘how to use article marketing tips’ is not. You can use the second example, but restrict the optimization to ‘article marketing tips’.

Also try to include a secondary keyword in the title, such as “Article Writing Tips: How to Profit from Article Marketing”. That is good, but you must also catch the readers eye, by offering them a benefit from reading your article, so a better title would be: Article Writing Tips: How to Make Money Writing Articles”.

See the difference? I am not suggesting these are brilliant examples, but the second title is better than the first, because it stresses the benefit of writing articles better than the first example.

The Opening Paragraph - If the reader is attracted by the title, you have to keep them reading by means of the opening paragraph. This should expand on the title, and offer them more benefits of writing articles, and perhaps explain how easy it is to make money or promote their website or products through article marketing. By reading on they will learn some secrets that will enable them to write articles that will make them money.

In doing this you are also promoting yourself, because you are demonstrating yourself as being an expert in your niche of article marketing. Incidentally, article writing and article marketing are different skills: many people can write articles, but don’t have a clue how to use them in internet marketing.

The other sections of your article include the article body, the concluding paragraph that should lead into the resource, and the resource itself, which is where you advertise yourself or your website and provide a link to it. Also important is the summary, which should persuade people to read the article itself.

It is important to understand how to use article marketing correctly, so that you promote yourself, not only your website or product, and take a step towards becoming well known sufficiently for others to seek you out and trust your products. One final tip: Use your name and product in your keyword list.

Articles Directory - How To Choose One

Friday, October 2nd, 2009
Abhinav Srivastava asked:

When it comes to articles directory websites, there are so many from which to choose that it can be difficult to pick one from the others. Naturally, you will want to be sure that the articles directory you choose is best for your needs. This article will discuss how to distinguish the type of articles directory that will work best to promote your website through article marketing. Promoting yourself or your website should be your key focus when it comes to finding the right articles directory.

First, you always want to make sure that that the articles directory that you are choosing has been in operation for quite a while. If you are looking at an articles directory website that has only been in operation for less than a few months, you probably should look elsewhere to insure that you get the best exposure for your company or yourself from the articles submitted to the site.

It is also important that there is a great number of article authors listed on the articles directory site. Take a look at how many writers contribute to the site. If there are more than one thousand writers contributing, then you have an indication that the site is effective and that you will gain a lot of traffic from this articles directory. Submitting articles via an articles directory is one of the best forms of advertising. Not only will your article that promotes your website or blog blog be seen by many different people every day, but you will definitely see the traffic to your site or blog go way up.

Next, you want to insure that the contact information of the owner is in the articles directory site somewhere. This is great information to know not only if you have a problem, but so that you can be sure that the site is one that is legitimate and will respond promptly to customer service questions. One way to ascertain this is to send the owner a test e-mail. This will see how quick their response time is and if the e-mail ends up bouncing back to you, you know that the site is not responsive to customer inquiries.

Now that you have all of the steps on how to pick out the very best articles directory site, you should have no problem finding one that will fit in your online marketing plan. Just keep these tips in mind and remember that article directory sites are one of the best ways to promote both yourself as an author as well as the name of your business.

Submit your unique good quality articles to Articles Directory.

A Few Rules for Writing Articles for the Web

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009
Alan Lim asked:

Some people say that writing articles is an art and that you need quite a bit of creativity inside of you, to write a good article for purposes of article marketing. However, even when it comes to article writing, you will have to follow some rules and regulations when it comes to writing. These rules would enable you to construct a good article that becomes an effective tool of income generation.

Be Concise

Don’t waste words, but try and conserve them as much as possible. Yes, you can write all you want but its best to be as frugal with the text as possible. This lends a bit of simplicity to the proceedings and also helps lend some clarity to the article in general.

Don’t Write to Impress

You are not writing a story, which needs to impress people. What you are doing through the process of writing articles is sharing information with the people, which in turn promotes your website. Writing for the web must be purposeful and you must accomplish this purpose in quick time, hence don’t write to impress but write to empower.

Use single words, Instead of Wordy Phrases

This pointer is similar to the earlier one about not writing articles to impress but to offer information. You must cut short your wordiness and use single words whenever you can. This limits the spread of your content and you can make your point without beating about the bush. Moreover, it makes sense to use simpler words that everybody can understand rather than using important sounding words that are not easy to understand.

Use Bullets, if Possible

Bullets and numbering are a great way to make your article more readable. Bullets are also simpler to read then long sentences. They cut short the length of the article and are to the point. While writing articles, if you come across a few pointers that need to be shared with the readers then it would be a great idea to use bullets. If anything they offer a neat look to the article in general.

Precision in Language

On the whole, you don’t need to meander. Your audience does not have all the time in the world to read your article and hence you must integrate all the pointers given above to construct an article that is precise, meaning that it uses the pronoun minimally for the improvement of clarity. If you use your pronouns sparingly, then it also helps in the process of search engine optimization.

You could call what has been mentioned in this article a few rules or can also call them important pointers towards writing articles that are an effective tool for article marketing. When it comes to web writing, these rules will make it possible for you to create content that people will actually read and not just skim through. So keep these rules/pointers in mind and I am sure that you will be able to configure articles that are not only good but quire readable also.

Tips On Article Marketing

Monday, September 7th, 2009
Andre Arnett asked:

Introduction

Article marketing is the practice of providing well-written content for distribution to websites and epublishers in exchange for a blurb about the author’s business and contact information. Articles are a great way to establish credibility and let people know that you are operating a legitimate online home business. It is one of the most effective forms of online marketing out there. Article marketing is about uniqueness, having your own ideas for a given topic. It has been shown to be one of the best ways to advertise your business online. Article Marketing is powerful and under used by most, myself included.

Marketing

Marketing is more than just selling your products and services. Advertising your business through internet articles is no longer a luxury; it is a complete necessity to succeed in online business. Marketing articles are not for providing knowledge; they are for giving information. Where should article marketing fit into your overall marketing strategy. When it comes to displaying articles we seek to get as much value as possible. If you have someone in-house that is already creating content, marketing materials or managing the blog, you’re in business.

Articles

Articles serve as that cold call that sells a prospective buyer on your product, service or expertise before they get to your website which will make them more amendable to buying what you are offering. Articles are a great way to faithfully drive traffic to your website.

Articles are written to target particular keyword niches and distributed to content publishers that cater to those markets. They are the free way to advertise your web site. Articles are viral in nature and if done right, they can provide you with the benefits for a long time to come. Articles are sticky; once an article is accepted on an e-zine website, it can stay listed for months or years. Articles are also a great tool for promotion whether it’s self promotion or promotion of a product or a business.

Traffic

Think about the actual value of the placement as far as potential traffic, branding and reach. Over a period of time and after several article submissions you will notice a good improvement in your search engine rankings and more traffic. The important thing to remember is that articles also mean traffic. This in turn will affect your rankings in the search results and the subsequent traffic it generates.

New methods of getting traffic to your site are being devised constantly but article marketing is still the best way to drive visitors without having to pay anything out. Popular sites are the best because it should give your article a great deal of exposure; it shouldn’t be too long before your site starts to receive traffic from this.

Article marketing is one of the best ways to generate free traffic to your site and boost sales for your work at home business. If you want to make money at home and have found a legitimate home business, article marketing can serve as a great way to generate targeted traffic to your sites.

Writing

Writing articles for use in article marketing can be a lot of fun. Writing and submitting your own articles is equivalent to FREE ADVERTISING on the Web. Writing articles for which you do not know much about may give a poor impression to the readers.

Article writing that peeks a readers interest and provide quality, helpful information is a great way to build your online business and personal reputation. Writing the perfect article, however, won’t do you any good if you don’t know how to submit it effectively.

Directories

Submit your articles to the top article directories and make sure you submit under the category which is the closest match to the main topic or theme of your article. In an ideal world you should not publish any articles to article directories if they already exists as content on your hub or web page.

Alternatively post the full article on your website or hub page as above, but only submit about 50% of it to your article directories. This will the allow you to submit the changed version to the article directories while keeping the original on your hub or web page.

To try and deal with this situation you should use one or more of these tactics: Make sure that you post your new article on your web or hub page first, and then wait for it to be indexed in the search engines before you actually submit it to any of the article directories. Potentially thousands of webmasters could download copies of your article from these directories and publish them on their own websites.

Submitting just a part of your article, assuming what you are left with is not too short, is fine, but as mentioned above the easiest way (ie less work for you) to avoid any duplicate content issues is to let the original article on your site be indexed first before submitting to the article directories.

Conclusion

Article marketing is one of the best strategies you can do when engaging in an online advertising/website building campaign. It is easy and a convenient way to advertise your products. Writing articles is one of the most effective forms of online marketing out there. Articles are a fantastic way to build your business. They are a form of advertisement to your website. Article Marketing is one of the best ways to advertise your business online.

Article Marketing Automation: Marketing Articles 2.0 Don’t Get Left Behind!

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009
mark fleagle asked:

First Page Google Rankings Are Easy

Article marketing automation compared to manual article marketing Change is good! Article Marketing is not dead but maturing

I would like to talk about a leading edge unique new article marketing technique that can generate 1000’s of daily visitors to your website. Ok you are wondering what makes it unique, well this new type of article marketing submits your articles to a small number of article websites and blogs, you specify the number of daily submissions. The number of sites I have my articles submitted to on a daily basis is 5, this number just seems to work for me the best.

With the standard article automation software for example article marketing robot, you submit your article automatically to hundreds of article sites at one time. The software is preloaded with a list of article sites that you can select to have your article submitted too, you then check the sites you want to submit too. The software will then submit one article to all the sites you have selected in your article submission list. The results of your submissions will create a short term surge of traffic to your website, or websites, which is really not the best method of generating a sustainable constant increase in website traffic. Don’t get me wrong this type of submission is still useful but I do it in addition with Article Marketing Automation efforts. The combination of the two seems to work very well for me, but my primary method of article marketing is still with article marketing automation.

What you want for a long term article marketing program is a “trickle effect what I mean you want to increase your website traffic at a steady consistent pace. Now lets take for example you have 50 article written and ready to be distributed, If you had a article marketing automation service you could load your articles and each and every one of them would be submitted to 5 article sites or article blogs every single day of the year. I think you can see the impact as your article numbers increase. In my service I currently have over 100 articles be submitted to blogs and article sites every day. My traffic and back link numbers increase in small numbers every day.

How to Run a Successful Article Directory

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009
Gen Wright asked:

e directory is like an other website. It serves a specific function, and it’s the owner’s responsibility to figure out a plan to make it work. An article directory that’s not functioning correctly may have a home page like a ghost town. Few visitors, few articles, very few activities, with only a handful of authors.

I can tell whether an article directory can be around in the long run or not just be looking at the home page. In the course of my business, I visit hundreds of article directories and after some time, some patterns are emerging. Everyone can run an article directory. Use a free script like articledashboard, host it on a shared hosting account, and yet another article directory is born. But to make the directory into a successful one takes time and effort.

First, understand the audience that you’ll be dealing with if you’re going to own an article directory. There are basically two groups: the readers, and the publishers. Without content, there wouldn’t be readers, so start promoting your new directory by getting authors to submit content. That’s a challenge if the site is new because publishers want traffic when they submit articles, and a new site has no traffic. So why would they want to submit?

If you understand that, you know what you must do. First and foremost, promote your own article directory heavily. Do a lot of article marketing to get the traffic in. Target the publishers in the initial stages. If they read an article written by you, chances are, they already know that you’re actively promoting the directory and will be more likely to submit articles.

Once you have people coming to your site to submit articles, treat them like VIPs! Approve their articles if they meet your guidelines as quickly as you can to show that the site is active. Make sure that the articles meet your quality guidelines. Don’t fall into the trap of accepting poorly written articles just because the site is new. If you do that, you’ll face more problems down the road.

And your problems will be from the readers who come to your site for the articles. They make a search in the search engines, find the title interesting and click through to your site, only to be disappointed with a poorly written article. Chances are, you’ve lost that visitor forever because it’s going to be hard trying to get the visitor to come back due to the first poor experience.

Some visitors are webmasters or publishers looking for reprint content. If your site offers poor quality content, they’ll move on and not reprint the content from your site. This, again, will affect your site adversely.

Finally, make sure that your article directory has RSS feeds that are well syndicated. This means that any author who has an accepted article will have his or her article syndicated to many other websites. More exposure will make the authors very happy, and they’ll come back again and again to submit more quality articles. Your article directory is on a roll!

Article Marketing has certainly come to stay. The Mantra often repeated is “Write Articles if you want free targeted traffic”. Is this possible? Yes, it is possible only if you are prepared to implement certain strategies in your article marketing.

To be successful you have to write articles that are of quality which the audience would love to read, while simultaneously implementing your SEO strategy.

First and foremost you must keep in mind that the articles you write are for the audience and not for the search engines. Hence you should be knowledgeable about the topic you write thus displaying your expertise. If you lack sufficient knowledge, it will be wise to upgrade your knowledge or do some research in the internet. Thus you will be able to write some good content displaying your expertise.

When you write articles ensure that the articles are related to the theme of your website. If your article is about Rose Gardens and your website is about Internet Business Opportunities, visitors arriving on your website from your article will click away in a moment. However good your article might be this will be the outcome because the visitor is interested only in Rose Gardens.

Never overlook the fact that the audience is anxious to learn something from you, pick up some tips and ideas and implement them when the opportunity arises. Hence it is important that your articles are educative, easily understood and in simple language. Avoid technical jargon as far as possible.

However good your article might be it is important that your article catches the eye of the audience when they scroll down the various articles in the article directories. This will be possible only if you have a powerful captivating title for your article. You have to spend some time over this but do not mislead the audience.

Once you have decided on the topic of your article, the first SEO strategy you have to implement is to identify suitable keywords for the article and target these keywords in the content. You should judiciously place these keywords in the content without overdoing it. If you overdo it search engines will consider it as keyword stuffing and might penalize you.

A great SEO strategy adopted to attract the search engine spiders is to have your important keyword in the title of your article. This strategy will work out even better if the keyword happens to be the first word of the title.

The resource box at the end of the article is the nerve centre of the article and the author should aim to get the maximum benefit from it. Write a few words about yourself or your product that will impress the reader and also have a life link to your website. Here a useful SEO strategy you should adopt is to have an Anchor Text optimized link. Your anchor text should include your preferred keywords or keyword phrase. By doing this website may well get ranked higher in the search engine results for your preferred keywords.

The success of your Article Marketing depends on how well you can write articles of quality while implementing the SEO strategy, keeping in mind of course that your audience comes first.
